BIO
For 20 years I have been managing the entire post production process over a vast range of international projects, successfully overseeing multiple teams on multiple projects consisting of live action visual effects, fully CG photorealistic content and stylized animation.
I have been ultimately responsible for the department, the teams and the projects, ensuring excellence in the visual, creative and technical aspects, as well as the overall production management. This involves overseeing the supervisors, leads, artists, post producers and directors and providing them with leadership and guidance.
With hands-on experience in every discipline of the post production process since 1998, from an artist’s point of view as well as being lead, VFX supervisor and on-set supervisor, this puts me in a unique position to be able to carry out all these responsibilities with an insight from direct personal experience.
I will be involved at the very beginning of pre production deciding the workflow, the team, the scale of the work involved and the best way to get the project done within the available time and budget constraints.
Once the project is greenlit I am then responsible for the running of the project, including the general plans for the post producers and supervisors and ultimately maintaining the visual and creative standard.
I began in 1998 with my own 1 man CG animation company where I was responsible for the whole CG process, including animation, lighting, shading, digital matte painting, simulations, compositing and CG/VFX supervision.
On joining up with The Panics/Post Panic in 2004, a world renowned creative production and VFX powerhouse, I continued with these disciplines (including compositing at the end of the postproduction line to create the final visual look) until I ultimately moved into the role of Head of Postproduction.
This has been a role that has taken me on a long, fulfilling and happy journey over projects of all sizes from mini boutique style jobs and passion projects all the way up to international commercials and full feature films, involving almost every post related software known to man along the way including Shotgrid(Flow), Nuke, Houdini, 3dsmax, Maya, Blender, the Adobe suite and Unreal.
